China Compete U.S. Hegemony in Space

After the unmanned spacecraft landed on the Moon, China finalize ambitious satellite navigation system. United States to monitor suspicious of Beijing's efforts to compete with hegemoniya in space.
When word gets around about the incident in the South China Sea involving two U.S. warships and China , the country 's bamboo curtain is preparing to send the first unmanned spacecraft to the moon . These two events were unrelated , but nonetheless showed competition heats up between the two countries .
China is currently the global ambition to enhance the navigation system -guided satellite network in space . Program called Beidou is expected to be completed by 2020 .
Such efforts bersebrangan with U.S. hegemony since 1978 to master the sky and land with 32 satellite Global Positioning System ( GPS ) orbiting the earth . Russia's Glonass program is also developing its own navigation system . While Europe was still in limbo developing the Galileo system .
Staking of Heaven Earth
At the latest since the 1970s , the U.S. military understands the importance of mastering the Earth's orbit . Current technologies , both civilian and military , almost impossible to function without satellite navigation , ranging from weapons systems and unmanned aircraft , to the public communication network .
Because it is Washington to monitor developments closely China 's space program . 2007 Chinese military destroyed the weather satellite in orbit near Earth's circumference . The results are about 10,000 pieces of space junk currently threatens other satellites .
China's military is also believed to have tested a technology that can cripple satellites and disrupt operational reconnaissance satellite communications . The suspicion led to the White House attitude that forbids cooperation between NASA and the Space Agency of China . China helped Europe when its unmanned spacecraft landed on the moon's surface early last December .

Starting from Galileo
China initially support the Galileo program by signing an agreement with the European Space Agency ( ESA ) , 2003. At that time, Beijing is believed to only be using the Beidou for military purposes . However, because less satisfied with his role in the Galileo project , the Chinese decided to compete with Europe 's own making navigation system for the Asian market .
Contrary to concerns in Washington , Beijing claims Beidou project purely for peaceful purposes . The project will be equipped with 35 Beidou navigation satellites which are still in production . December 2011 and Beijing began to operate the navigation services in the country after the first successful launch of ten satellites . Last year the service extended to the consumer in the Asia Pacific region .
So far the United Nations and the European Union failed to push the superpowers that made an end to the power struggle in space . 1967 UN treaty does prohibit the militarization of the earth's orbit , but not legally binding .
