Scorpions Release New Album Unplugged

Scorpions side by side with other famous bands ever to record classic album MTV Unplugged. In recording this time, Germany's most successful rock bands that emerged with the concept that is completely new.





Scorpions tale should have been nearing the end of its personnel as he spent 3 years traveling the world in a farewell tour, but an offer to record a session for MTV Unplugged they can not refuse. So last September 11-12, Scorpions record their concert at Lycabettus theater in Athens open for Unplugged series.

The special concert , the Scorpions play around with the list of songs , including global hits and usually played the new song material . Experimenting with the arrangement , they put steel guitar , harmonica and piano to give the feel of pop and sometimes even country music sounds . Also present on stage were guest musicians such as Johannes Strate and Morten Harket of Revolverheld , vocalist of the Norwegian pop group a- ha .


There are no signs of stopping

With total album sales of about 100 million pieces, the Scorpions are the most successful German rock band at the international level. For nearly 50 years, Meine and his colleagues chose to stop and leave farewell tour to 38 countries, up to now they have said goodbye to fans in 23 countries. MTV Unplugged album they planned to release in 50 countries. 2014 will present another treat for fans of Scorpions: documentary film 'Big City Nights' by Katja von Garnier before appearing also in the form of a DVD.
